Ruth Brinkley is president and CEO of Carondelet Health Network in Tucson, Arizona and West Ministry market leader for Ascension Health. She provides strategic and operational leadership for Carondelet while promoting alignment among the health ministries within the western region and the system office on issues related to mission and vision. Ms. Brinkley shares accountability for strategic positioning and operational performance for St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho and for Lourdes Health Network in Pasco, Washington. Ms. Brinkley has over 35 years of healthcare experience working in private and public healthcare organizations, including academic and community-based hospital systems, and has a long history of community involvement. Positions she held prior to joining Carondelet include president and CEO of Memorial Health Care System in Chattanooga, Tennessee and senior associate and engagement manager of a large national healthcare consulting firm, where she worked with many of the largest and most complex academic medical centers and community hospitals in the United States and Canada. She has also held executive roles at the University of Alabama Hospitals, Birmingham; DePaul Health Center, St. Louis; and St. Anne's Hospital, Chicago.
