Description

Audrey Collin is Professor Emeritus of Career Studies, De Montfort University, Leicester, in the United Kingdom. Her interest in interpretative approaches to the study of career has led to many publications, including articles and two edited books in collaboration with Richard A. Young: Interpreting career: Hermeneutical studies of lives in context, and The future of career. As a conventional career, I suppose that mine did not really start until I was 40. It is perhaps because of that that I am more comfortable in looking back in terms of a life-story rather than a career. (Or, if I call it career, then career interpreted very broadly, objective and subjective.) There are, of course, many stories that could be told of any life, but I am telling this one in a way that answers Jim Athanasou's interview questions.
